2022 Arbor Day Poster Contest!

The 2022 Arbor Day Poster Contest  is now open to Arizona youth, grades K-12.
Posters will be judged based on grade level, and prizes will be awarded to the top three posters in each group (K-12, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) and to the teachers of First Place winners in each group.  This year’s theme is Happy 150th Birthday to Arbor Day!  Entries must be postmarked by Monday, March 7th.   Good Luck!

Greetings, Arizona Educators!
My name is Megan and I’m the new Conservation Education Coordinator with the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management. I’m very excited to announce our Arbor Day Poster Contest for 2022
This year’s theme is “Happy 150th Birthday to Arbor Day!” A milestone year for both Arbor Day and the Arbor Day Foundation, we want to highlight the achievements of this nationally recognized holiday and aim high for the future healthy trees in our communities.
Please click the green button below to view, download or print the contest flyer which includes additional details, rules and instructions. Prizes will be awarded and mailed out to the top three winners in four age group categories!
We hope you’ll take this opportunity to share with your students the importance of trees and their many benefits to our lives. This year is also an opportunity to learn more about the history of Arbor Day, and the lifecycle of trees – which can be a lot longer than many of us think!

Please note that one rule has been added this year: Winners from previous years are not eligible to win first place more than once, but are still encouraged to participate.

Thank you for taking the time to celebrate trees and participate in our poster contest with your classes – we couldn’t do this without you!
I can’t wait to see what each of your students create this year. Please reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or feedback – I look forward to hearing from you!
With gratitude,
Megan
