Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) and AZ Project WET of the University of Arizona are providing an online workshop about Building Diversity & Equity in STEM Education.

Using the ZOOM platform the workshop will be divided into two 1-hour presentations occurring on July 9, and July 10, 2020 at 1:00 PM for both. There is an option of only attending one session, but attending both is recommended.

Part 1-Diversity in STEM July 9 will explore factors that shape patterns of underrepresentation in STEM fields, how bias manifests in group-based learning activities; and the way bias can impact student outcomes over the short and long-term.

Part 2 -Asset Mapping for Equity in STEM Education July 10 will equip educators with actionable strategies and tools for promoting equity in group-based learning.
