Hello PESI Supporters!
I wanted to share this announcement about small grants being offered by the AZ Game & Fish – perhaps you have an idea for a project that we would help you with and submit a grant proposal together.
If you also happened to participate in our PESI Ecosystems project during the last year, maybe you have been wanting to do something at your school to continue your study with your students – this grant might be supportive of those efforts.
Please let me know if you have an interest in working together on a proposal/project, and also please share this with your colleagues.
Thanks much – and all the best to our classroom teacher supporters as you start back into the new school year using a virtual platform. We thank you for all you do to provide science for your students!
Respectfully,
Joan Gilbert

Exciting news! We are now accepting applications for our K-12 small education grants. You can get up to $2000 to help implement wildlife-focused lessons and education in your classroom. There are opportunities to fund unique, educator-designed field trips (even virtual ones). There is even an option for our former professional development participants who are looking for funds to help implement some of the strategies from those workshops. Deadline for the first round of scoring is September 1!
In addition, we will be hosting THREE informational discussions: August 6 at 10am, August 7 at 3pm and August 11 at 7pm. These provides opportunities for you to learn more about the grants and to get some of your questions answered. To register for any of the free information sessions, visit https://bit.ly/AZGFDEducatorWebinarRegistration.

Learning from home While we wait for the survey results, you will be happy to know that we already have a large number of resources that work well for distance learning. We have gathered them into a single location to make them easier to access. You can find them on our Learning from Home page: https://bit.ly/AZGFDHomeLearning
