TREC has a New Website to Showcase Tucson Region Teacher Resources

Tucson Regional Educator Collaborative (TREC) is a relatively new collaborative designed to support teachers. Read about TREC in the background information shared below, or visit their initial website: TRECarizona.org

TREC is currently working on developing a more expansive website.  Read more about how to register for the TREC ZOOM introduction to the new website below.

A bit of background from Jen:

In 2018-2019 we spent 8 months engaged in planning/developing TREC. Teachers overwhelming identified accessing educational / PD resources in the region as a key challenge. PD Providers we spoke with also explained that it can be hard to connect with teachers and principals to share their events and resources. Therefore, one of TREC’s key goals is to create one central website that educators can visit to learn about upcoming PD, view on-demand resources, as well as learn about field trip and grant opportunities. We worked last year with a group of key stakeholders (including Teachers, District Officials, PD Providers,  and others) to develop and outline the goals of the site. We have contracted with a local website developer and are hopeful the website will launch on August 5th, 2020.

To introduce you to website, including the PD Provider Profile and PD Event / Resource form, and answer your questions I will host two zoom info sessions/meetings (they will cover the same info, the only difference will be the date/time). These zoom meetings will be: Monday, July 27th from 10am – 11am OR Tuesday, July 28th from 2pm – 3pm. I know it’s a very busy time and you do not need to attend a meeting to add your resources to the website. The process should be pretty user friendly. I will send out another email to this group when the website is ready for you to add your organization and resources.

To RSVP for a meeting please complete the following   registration form

Also, please feel free to forward this email to those in your network (and/or let me know if I should be contacting someone else at your organization). I know I do not yet have email addresses for all of the PD Providing organizations in the region, so if you can help reach out to others that would be great!

Let me know if you have any questions about TREC or the website.

Thank you for all you do to support educators!

Best,
~Jen
