Planetary Science Institute Near and Far: Minor Planets Across the Solar System Workshops Jan 25, Feb 1, Feb 5

Asteroids, the building blocks of the planets, have been explored by space missions as well as with telescopes on Earth.  Current space missions will be bringing back samples of two asteroids.  In this workshop, you will learn about these objects through presentations as well as hands-on activities that you can do with your students. You will also receive pieces of asteroids – meteorites!

Through your participation in this exciting workshop, you will learn how to use PSI’s meteorite kits, available for loan so you and your students can explore meteorites right in your own classroom. The workshop offers a $200.00 stipend.
